SITI Company is an ensemble-based theater company whose three ongoing components are the creation of new works for the stage, the training of young theater artists, and a commitment to artistic and international exchange. Founded by Anne Bogart and Tadashi Suzuki, SITI Company will celebrate its 20th Anniversary in the 12/13 season.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
SITI Company and Anne Bogart seek an experienced and dynamic individual responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a growing ensemble touring company as well as administrate the company's education program. Reporting directly to the Executive Director and working closely with Artistic Leadership, the General Manager will work to create overall administrative and programmatic strategy and implementation plans.
DUTIES
- Manage SITI training and education activities, including: Coordinate with Company's teachers' schedules; Co-curate guest artist Master Classes; Secure outside studio space in New York City; Lead efforts in creation of training brochures, mailings and email announcements; Maintain student database tracking application materials, contact information, enrollment, scholarship information and earned income.
- Develop and analyze organizational, project and production budgets as assigned by the Executive Director.
- Develop, implement and manage the New York City season in collaboration with the Executive Director, Artistic Leadership, Company and Board.
- Staff and manage the Strategic Planning Committee of the Board, including the creation and distribution of relevant plan documents.
- Draft and review contracts between SITI Company and artists, presenters, and partner organizations.
- Act as company liaison with the unions and membership organization with which SITI Company has relationships. Maintain knowledge of collective bargaining agreements of Actors Equity Association, USA/IATSE, and SDC.
- Oversee office management, including managing IT systems, database management, creating and managing digital and hard file systems, ordering and tracking office supplies, etc.
- Manage the rental of the SITI studio, including the associated tasks needed to track use in the database and calendar, collect and record earned income, coordinate with ART/NY on operations and maintenance, and liaise with renters.
- Create marketing strategies and implementation plans for productions and education activities.
- Oversee website, social networking and other online communities where SITI has a presence as relevant to position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently, take initiative, track multiple projects, prepare professional quality documents, be a vocal advocate and ambassador for the work of SITI, and advance the Company's mission through execution of the administration of programmatic activities. Strong organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, and computer literacy are essential.
- Bachelors degree required; Advanced degree in Theater Management, Arts Management or extensive development experience preferred.
- Administrative experience within a theater company or similar not-for-profit performing arts organization.
- Knowledge of the New York City theaters.
- Strong leadership, teambuilding, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A clear ability to encourage, engage and energize board and staff members, artists, volunteers, donors and audiences.
- Experience in supervising cash-flow and budget management.
- Experience with databases such as Salesforce preferred.
- An appreciation for experimental theater, and genuine interest in the Company's work.
- Energy, stamina, flexibility, sense of humor and the willingness and interest to engage in the life and activities of SITI Company.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
SITI Company and Anne Bogart seek an experienced and dynamic individual responsible for creating short- and long-term fundraising strategies to ensure the organization's stability and growth. The incumbent will have a mandate to expand the portfolio of individual and institutional support for this $1.2M organization. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Development & Communications Manager plans, implements, manages and evaluates the overall fundraising program including individual, foundation, government and corporate contributions as well as oversees marketing and communications for institutional marketing and 20th anniversary activities. He or She will have oversight of cultivation events, and be charged with the successful implementation of annual print appeals, new media appeals, and donor stewardship.
DUTIES
- Create and execute a plan to develop and engage an active board of directors.
- Create and execute a plan to actively expand individual donor base; prospect research.
- Maintain development calendar with the appropriate schedule of deadlines and insure the timely submission of proposal materials.
- Develop and execute annual appeal including follow-up.
- Implement new database system.
- Research and apply for grants; write all letters of inquiry, grant proposals and reports; and maintain positive relationships with funders.
- Seek out opportunities to secure corporate sponsorship.
- Donor stewardship, including acknowledgments and grants compliance.
- Liaise with PR representative and provide PR support for institutional marketing and 20th anniversary campaign.
- Maintain and track reviews, photos and company bios, ensuring the integrity, accuracy and quality of such materials (for traditional and digital documents).
- Oversee website, social networking and other online communities where SITI has a presence as relevant to position.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Proven development skills, with 4-6 years successful experience.
- Knowledge of the New York City funding and philanthropic environment.
- Strong leadership, teambuilding, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A clear ability to encourage, engage and energize board and staff members, artists, volunteers, donors and audiences.
- Experience in budget management.
- Experience with fundraising databases such as Raiser's Edge, Tessitura, or Salesforce preferred.
- An appreciation for experimental theater, and genuine interest in the Company's work.
